Marco Cavietti obtained a degree in Art History at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” (2006) and a Master of Art at the Warburg Institute-London University in Cultural ad Intellectual History (2009). In the period 2013-2016, he attended the Scuola di paleografia e diplomatica at the State Archive in Rome, the annual course of archival science at the Archivio Segreto Vaticano and the Scuola di alta formazione in Archivistica Contemporanea at the Central State Archive in Rome. Currently, he is specializing at the Scuola di specializzazione in Beni archivistici e librari at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”.

He worked on the reorganization of the Archivio Storico del Fondo Edifici di Culto del Ministero dell’Interno, Dipartimento per le libertà civili e l’immigrazione (2012-2013). He worked as trainee at the Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana on the Barberini family archive. At the State Archive in Rome, he participated in the cataloguing on database of iconographic material linked to the Archive of the Trenta notai capitolini. He moreover worked at the exibitions: Caravaggio a Roma. Una vita dal vero (1 February - 31 May 2011) e La fabbrica della Sapienza. L’università al tempo di Borromini (26 April - 26 July 2015).
