Art historian

He graduated in History of Art in 2003 at Roma Tre University in Rome, where in 2008 He earned PhD in ‘Storia e Conservazione dell’Oggetto d’Arte e d’Architettura’ with a dissertation on the frescos of Marco Benefial in Città di Castello. Subjects of his researches are the art and the collecting in Rome from end of XVII century to end of XVIII century. He catalogued and studied the collection of works of art in the Camillo Caetani foundation from 2010 to 2015. He is the curator of the Fabrizio Lemme collection from 2015. He collaborated at FIRB This work represents the result of a collaboration within the FIRB project The Orsini and Savelli in Papal Rome. Patronage and Arts of Ancient Families from Feudalism to the European Baroque Courts, II research unit, University of Salerno, DISPAC, 2016, with a research on the patronage and the collecting of cardinal Domenico Orsini. He wrote numerous essays for different art periodicals such as Paragone (2007, 2010, 2015), Nuovi Studi (2012), Rivista dell’Istituto Nazionale di Archeologia e Storia dell’Arte (2013), Ricerche di Storia dell’Arte (2014).

He contributed to several exibition catalogues (Il Museo del Barocco romano:la collezione Lemme a Palazzo Chigi ad Ariccia, 2007; Il Museo del Barocco romano: le collezioni Ferrari, Laschena e altre donazioni al Palazzo Chigi di Ariccia, 2008; Lés Confreries de la Corse: un société idéale en Meditérranée, 2010; La primera flor de la santidad de America Latina: Santa Rosa de Lima, 2011; Péindre a Rome, 2011; Rome de Barocci à Fragonard, 2013; Ritratto e figura: da Rubens a Cades, 2015). He partecipated in national and international conferences (La copia: conoisseurship, storia del gusto e della conservazione, 2010; I Rapporti tra Italia e Madrid nei secoli XVI e XVII: arte diplomazia e politica, 2011; La Basilica di San Pietro: fortuna e immagine, 2012; La canonizzazione di Santa Francesca romana: santità cultura e istituzioni in età moderna, 2013; Il Settecento del XXI secolo, 2014; Caietana: Nuove ricerche sulla famiglia Caetani e le arti, 2014; Gli Orsini e i Savelli nella Roma dei Papi, 2016; Il disegno tra Napoli, Firenze e Roma ai tempi di Salvator Rosa, 2016). He published the catalogue of the Lemme collection (2016). He is going to publish a collection of essays in honour of Fabrizio Lemme (with Francesca Baldassari), a book on the collecting and the patronage of cardinale Domenico Orsini, the catalogue of the paintings and the drawings of Marco Benefial (with Liliana Barroero).
